Today most of the people like to improve their language and they do it trough writing and speaking. Writing is a fix pattern of form to give knowledge, information, ideas. While speaking is something we can sense because we can hear it. Speaking and writing is a different thing and most of people believe that writing is more difficult than speaking.
The first difference between speaking and writing is the form. Speaking is more informal while writing is more formal. For example, if we want to write something, we have to use strong vocabulary but when we are speaking we can use simple vocabulary. Besides, writing has a fix rules that we have to follow while speaking does not have any rules or pattern. For example when we want to write something, we should pay attention to punctuation, grammar, structure, paragraph. as a student we are worried about the marks that the lecturers will gives for writing because we cannot write enough support sentences correctly.
Writing is more difficult than speaking. Do you agree? We think that writing is more difficult than speaking because we should pay attention to the spelling of vocabulary, grammar etc. the message is more clear in the speaking because if the listener have some question, the speaker can describe more while in writing it is difficult to explain message because sometimes the sentences is not clear in the word form. That the speaker want the listener to get.
Finally, more people prefer to speak than write because in the speaking we can discuss about the topic but in the writing we have to write alone and we don’t have any feedback from other people.
