Improvement in Facilities of College

Residential college is a place for students who study at the university to stay. It has to be a suitable place to stay and provides us anything which is necessary to us. This is because a good environment is very important for us to achieve good result in our studies. Thus, changes are needed in order to improve the condition of our college. In fact, there are many ways that can improve our college’s condition. Nevertheless, I think through the improvement in the facilities in our college will make the most differences.

First and foremost, I think the sport facility in our college still has room of improvement. For your information, the sport facility in our college is considered insufficient. The existing badminton courts in our college’s hall do not have enough places for too many players. As a result, we seldom have the opportunity to play in the hall. Our college also does not have basketball court and squash court. Consequently, for those who are basketball and squash lover have to make an effort to Komplex Sukan or Astaka Seni; otherwise, they would rather not to play. In addition, no place for us to rent or buy sport apparatus like bicycle, badminton racket and so on. I suggest we can have gym in college as it will be a perfect place for us to do the exercise regardless of the weather.

Besides, the dwelling of students also needs improvement. Four people in a room are actually too crowded for university students as the space of the room is not very wide. This will make the students feel lack of privacy when sharing a room with so many people. In addition, the places for drying clothes are really not enough for so many students in the college to dry their clothes after the launder. Instead, they are forced to hang their clothes in the room. As a result, this will give chance to the growth of bacteria on the clothes. If students do so in long term, this surely will have negative effect on their health.

Furthermore, no one would deny that outsides food contain too much of salt, oil, monosodium glutamate (MSG) and many other baleful ingredients. As a result, many students cook in the room in order to eat healthy meal. Yet, the college’s rules have already set a veto on it as it is very dangerous to do so. The conflagration will happen anytime if the students do not careful with it. For all the reasons above, a kitchen is needed to provide a place for the students to prepare more nutritious food by themselves and also protect the safety of the students.

In conclusion, I believe that facility is one of the most important elements in the college. By improving and college’s facilities, it will not only bring many benefits to the student, but also ultimately change our college into a better one.
