Writing to prompts
Starting Week 4, a writing prompt will be posted fortnightly by the moderator(s)of the forum. Your respective class instructors will have divided your class into groups (Team A to N). Teams will take turns to post a response to the writing prompt following a schedule to be determined by the class instructors.
After receiving feedback from your peers, you may edit/revise your writing as many times as you wish.
Giving feedback
All students participating in the forum must post at least one comment or feedback on each of the writings posted by the teams for the week. Use the following questions as a guide to giving constructive comments:
• What is interesting about the writing? Why is it interesting to you?
• Is the ‘point’ of the writing clear to you? In what way is it clear/unclear?
• What are the main strength and main weakness of the writing?
• What suggestions do you have on how the writing can be improved?
Closing of topics
There will be a time limit imposed for posting messages in a forum. You will be informed of the closing date for each topic. Once a topic is closed or locked, you will not be able to post, edit or delete messages. However, you can still read all existing messages.
